This Church belongs to Orthodox Syrian Christians. Several thousand devotees visit this church and spend hours here for prayers. The main feast of the Parumala Church, Parumala, Thiruvalla Ormma Perunnal comes in November 1 and 2. Parumala is renowned for the presence of the Tomb of St. Gregorios (Parumala Thirumeni) and the Church keeps several items used by The famous Niranam Church is only 3 km away from this place.
