Muzhappilangad Beach, Kannur

Muzhappilangad Beach: Muzhappilangad Beach, one of the longest beaches in Kerala is located 15 kms south of Kannur, near Thalassery. This is the only drive-in beach in India. The drive across Muzhuppilangad beach attracts many tourists. Dharmadam Thuruth and Thalassery Fort are nearby attraction. Tourists can walk to Dharmadam Thuruthu during low tide time but during high tide they need boats to come back. Brhannan College situated very near to Dharmadam Thuruth. Myuzhuppilangad beach is very close to NH 17 just 5 km from Thalassery towards Kannur.

Cherai Beach Festival or Cherai Beach Carnival is organized by Pallipuram grama panchayat of the Vypeen Island. This festival of tourism is organized to encourage tourists to share the feel of Kerala beaches and its cultural heritage. Cherai is one of the most popular beaches in central Kerala. Tourists visit Kochi can easily reach Chwerai by road. The Cherai beach tourism Mela – Cherai Beach Festival is celebrated during first week of the new year. The programs include chendamelam (Drums), karimarunnu prayogam (fire works), pattom parathal (kite flying) etc.The Cherai beach tourism Mela – Cherai Beach Festival is organized in support with KTDC – Kerala Tourism Development Council. The Kovalam beach


Kovalam is a beach town on the Arabian Sea in Kerala, a state in south India. It is located around 13 km from downtown Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum). One can reach here by air from Trivandrum Airport, by Rail from Trivandrum Railway Station and by Road also. This beautiful beach is located around 235 km from Kochi. The Kovalam beach, is full of coconut palms, has become one of the most popular beach in India. The Kovalam beach consists of three curve shaped beach sections - Lighthouse Beach (the most popular beach located at the southern part), Samudra Beach (ideal place for nature lovers ) and The famous Hawa Beach. Kovalam is the most prominent tourist spots in India during for tourists from Europe and Israel. Tourists come to Kovalam will stay there for few days. There are tourists who made their home near Kovalam, imagine the calling beach in the bank of Arabian Sea. Cherai Beach Kochi


Cherai Beach Kochi is one of the most beautiful and neat beaches in India. Cherai Beach Kochi is located just 30 km away from Kochi in Vypin island. Tourists can reach Cherai Beach Kochi bu road from Kochi. The long stretch of neat and clean sandy beach arouse any tourist. Kuzhupilly beach Kochi is en-route to Cherai Beach. If you are little early for Cherai Beach you can spend a couple of hours in the pine shade here. This beach is enroute to famous Munambam Beach Kochi Munambam Beach Kochi and Cherai Beach Kochi.

Munambam Beach Kochi


Munambam Beach Kochi is very near to the famous Cherai Beach Kochi. It is around 25 km from city and yoiu can reach here by road through Gosree Bridge. Munambam Beach is famous for the Kerala Kite Festival, organized by Rotary Club of Cochin Lords in association with DTPC. Munambam Beach is also called as Pulimuttu by local people. If you watch the satellite picture you can observe a one kilometer strech of rock that formed the land. Pulimuttu is the 1 km long bridge made of stone stretching in to sea. You can watch a large row of Chinese fishing nets and fishermen fishing using these tets. During the Kite Festival a lot of tourist gather to this beach and there will be cultural events arrange by organisers. Munambam Beach is one of the popular place that is arranged recently in a modern manner.
Munambam is a small fishing village - and you can find traditional food courts around. Fresh fish curry with kappa are popular combination.

Fort Kochi

Fort Kochi, Mattancherry and Ernakulam are the three major townships that constitute the city of Kochi. Kochi the queen of Arabian Sea is one of the most beautiful natural harbours of the world. Fort Kochi is one of the major attractions of European tourists as it hold a lot of monuments of the colonial era. Fort Kochi is a colonial town, with Portuguese, Dutch and English footprints. Its main tourist attractions are Indo Portuguese museum, Chinese Fishing Nets, Beach, Dutch Cemetery, Southern Naval Command Maritime Museum, Cochin Thirumala Devaswom Board Temple, St. Francis Church, Santa Cruz Basilica, Bishop's House, Jewish Synagogue etc. Starting from the Chinese Fort Kochi holds several monuments of its trade ties with foreign countries.
