The Chinese fishing nets (Cheena vala)

Those who visit Fort Kochi or Vypin can see huge fishing nets operated for fishing. This Chinese fishing nets in Cochin are locally known as Cheenavala. The technique of fishing by Chinese fishing nets differs from the technique of ordinary fishing nets. Normally the Chinese fishing nets (Cheena vala) is used during High Tide.
