  1. St.Mary's church Pallippuram is a Pilgrimage center. This church is believed to be built in A.D 52. The Holy Cross known to be installed by St.Thomas, apostle in Kokamagalam is found here. Blessed Kuriakose Chavara and Joseph Palackal preached in Seminary here. St.Mary's Forane Church situated in Pallippuram is a historical one and a place of pilgrimage. Here is preserved the St.Thomas Cross which was found in the Mattel Thuruth island in the Vembanad Kayal. The Church is dedicated to the Assumption of Mary - something that existed even before this was made an act of our faith. It is also historical for another reason - it was here that Bl.Kuriakose Chavara, the founder of the CMIs, studied and was ordained a priest in this seminary. He was also the prior of the church. His collaborator was Palackal Palpan who was born in this parish.
